How to Create a Transaction Variant Using SHD0

Using this transaction(SHD0) you can make standard transaction fields as W. content(Initialize value), output only(Read only), Invisible(hide field) and Required(mandatory).

As per the requirement while creating an material using MM01, We need to initializing value for Industry sector = (Chemical industry) and Material Type = (ASSY CAP. GOODS CIVIL). For this case usually we will find an enhancement spot to write an custom logic to initialize the values.

Before creating initialize value for MM01 transaction

Go to transaction SHD0.

Give transaction Variant Name and press create button.

Now the MM01 transaction would appear.

Now we need to give initialize value like below and press enter.

Select the required Industry sector and Material Type and press ENTER. Following popup would appear: and modify as below and press exit and save button.

Give Variant short description and screen variant short description and save it. Capture it an transport request.

After capture into transport request press BACK Button. In this case we modified only screen variant name: ZMM01MM01_0060 program name: SAPLMGMM. Then in the below screen you have to delete if any thing is added other than the modified program and press SAVE button.
